Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing essential support for financial reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work with various accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and POS systems.
Duties
- Maintain and update financial records.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and assist in monthly closing procedures.
- Handle tax-related matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and record keeping.
- Support governmental accounting practices as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Skills
- Proficient in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Knowledge of POS system accounting integration
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and tax regulations.
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting is a plus but not required.
