As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at Via, you’ll play a key role in developing a new product that helps transit agencies deliver reliable and efficient service to their communities. From designing intuitive user interfaces to building robust backend systems, you’ll work on every layer of the product, ensuring it integrates seamlessly into Via’s ecosystem of tools and products.
This is a unique opportunity to work on a greenfield project while leveraging the strengths of an established platform. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll tackle complex technical challenges, shaping a solution that enhances the daily operations of transit agencies and improves the rider experience.
What You'll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain reliable systems for a new product that integrates with Via’s platform.
- Own features end-to-end, from design to production, ensuring high-quality results.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver impactful solutions.
- Work across the stack as needed to create seamless user experiences.
- Drive technical discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, and champion best practices.
- Debug and resolve issues to ensure uptime and performance.
- Explore new technologies and improve tools and processes for productivity and quality.
Who You Are:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience building and maintaining production web applications across frontend and backend.
- Skilled in developing user-focused interfaces and scalable backend systems with a strong understanding of APIs and data handling.
- Proficient in modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and backend technologies (e.g., Python, Node.js).
- Familiar with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and tools for deployment and monitoring.
- Strong problem solver and collaborator with a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills. Salary reflected does not include equity or variable pay, where applicable
- Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
