CNC Programmer I will utilize most of the manufacturing equipment to fabricate high complexity parts that meet customer quality requirements and specs.
Responsibilities :
- Learn how to operate and set up all available manufacturing equipment.
- Programming high complexity parts in most of manufacturing equipment available.
- Machine high complexity parts.
- Design electrodes, soft jaws, and fixtures using 3D CAD software.
- Generate setup sheets for operators.
- Generate work instructions for production processes.
- Give recommendations to team members and support them while troubleshooting manufacturing processes.
- Assist in developing process improvement plans for manufacturing department.
- Produce parts that meet customer requirements.
- Successfully manage any given manufacturing projects.
- Order inventory of consumables and tooling for department.
- Maintenance of manufacturing machines and tools.
- Communicate effectively with managers, team members and customers.
- Maintain and promote a positive and professional culture.
- Program and setup 5 axis CNC milling machines, 3 axis CNC milling machines, EDM, Water Jet, and lathes.
- Inspect parts before submitting to QA.
- Communicate issues with manufacturing process.
- Keep work area clean and organized. This includes the working area, machines, and tools.
- Maintain tools and keep equipment in good working condition.
- Work safely and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Communicates employee’s days off and work travel to their Department Head, and Engineering Management by using organization’s preferred leave software.
- Uses organization’s preferred task management software to provide day-to-day updates on daily tasks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
