OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES :
CBS Sacramento seeks a Managing Editor to lead our team of Community Journalists to live up to our mission of Getting Answers! The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in both enterprise and breaking news journalism at a major broadcast media outlet and, preferably, will have some in-the-field reporting experience. The successful candidate will be an expert writer and on-air talent coach, capable of producing both written and visual content.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :
- 3 years experience in a Newsroom
- Experience in day-to-day news as well as long-term and event coverage planning is required
- Excellent news judgment and writing skills.

Hiring Salary Range : $95,000.00 - 125,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
