What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Administrator position at Viaero Wireless?
Viaero's System Administrator and our IT team help us grow and support our customer base, across mobile, residential, and business services. You will be responsible for managing and deploying Linux operating systems and applications running on Linux, as well as some related VMware, storage, and networking tasks. This person works onsite in Fort Morgan, Colorado.
Responsibilities
Ensuring all systems stay up to date
Installing and configure new servers and services
Manage and configure ansible
Keep servers patched for security in a timely manner
Ability to document your changes and plans
Strong conceptual knowledge of how technologies work together / understanding of the infrastructure stack
Qualifications
Experience with RHEL / CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.
Experience deploying and maintaining Linux-based applications, such as LAMP stack, NGINX, Squid, SFTP, TFTP, MySQL, DNS, etc.
Experience with managing and deploying Ansible, Puppet, Saltstack, etc.
OpenStack / KVM experience helpful
Kubernetes / OpenShift experience helpful
Some networking knowledge
Strong troubleshooting skills that enable root cause analysis to be completed to minimize future support calls
Willingness to learn new technologies
High School Diploma
5 years of related experience (preferred)
Related Degree or Certifications (in lieu of experience)
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Ability to pass all pre-employment checks, including substance screen, criminal background, and MVR
