Description:
The Molding Setup Technician is in charge of loading and unloading Molds correctly and safely by following procedures. Fills and verifies forms and checklist to confirm that all steps of each setup were completed correctly. Assists the Process Tech in machine testing after alarms and shut down and restart processes as well. Supports production activities when required to assure production continuity.

Description:
The Molding Setup Technician is in charge of loading and unloading Molds correctly and safely by following procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Mounts and Dismount Molds in Molding machine following established procedures and setup sheets.
- Prepares and anticipate upcoming mold changes to minimize change over times and meet production schedules
- Supports Process Techs on resting machines after alarms and restart and shut down.
- Supports production by covering machines on operator lunch and brakes
- Participates in efficiency and Cost reduction projects by proposing ideas to perform mold change overs efficiently.
- Fills all required production documents to assure correct mold setups.
- Adhere to good manufacturing practices and safety guidelines
- Follows schedule for work shifts, meetings, time off, overtime, and break
- Performs related activities to the position to support production
- High School diploma or college degree
- Basic knowledge of mechanics, electricity, pneumatic, hydraulics
Requirements, Skills & Experience:
- High School diploma or college degree
- Basic knowledge of mechanics, electricity, pneumatic, hydraulics
- 2 -3 years’ experience in the position
- Mechanical skills
- Experience in manufacturing environment
- Self driven, organized and work detailed
- Intermediate computer skills (Email, Microsoft Office)
