Position Summary:
This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality product output by adhering to safety protocols, interpreting blueprints, and operating machinery effectively. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of sheet metal variations, the ability to use precision measurement tools, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to company safety policies and programs, including Personal Protective Equipment, Incident/Injury Reporting, and Hazard Communication.
Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate production processes.
Meet production goals and deadlines, ensuring products are developed on schedule.
Locate and acquire necessary materials for production tasks.
Maintain equipment in optimal working condition and report issues promptly.
Use and read calipers in both metric and standard measurements.
Understand and differentiate various types of sheet metal.
Verify screen alignment with print specifications for each job.
Lift up to 50 lbs individually and participate in team lifts up to 75 lbs.
Maintain confidentiality of customer information at all times.
Keep a clean and organized workstation for safety and efficiency.
Set up screening processes on segmented parts, such as wrapper interiors.
Identify GTIN and lot numbers as applicable.
Build and maintain respectful and collaborative relationships with team members.
Perform basic troubleshooting, machine error checks, and product spot checks to ensure quality.
Locate upcoming jobs on the shop floor and prepare accordingly.
Read and match prints to routers and pink tickets.
Select and pull the proper screen for each job.
Notify supervisors immediately of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.
Complete and follow routers accurately.
Assist in training new employees as needed.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of sheet metal materials.
Proficiency in using calipers and reading measurements.
Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and production documents.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and engage in team lifts of up to 75 lbs.
Willingness to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge/Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
1-3 years Silk Screen experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing.
Skills/Competencies:
Detail oriented with an ability to solve problems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints to determine set-up and operations
