POSITION SUMMARY
The Equipment/Facilities Technician (30%/70%) is responsible to support the lifecycle of Meraqi Medical equipment calibration recalls, installations, basic IQs (qualifications), maintenance, repair, HVACs, compressors. Under the direction of the Facilities Team, the equipment/facilities technician will quarantine equipment when due for calibration from production use and perform preventative maintenance requirements as applicable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow Meraqi Medical’s policies and procedures
Participate in team meetings to ensure adequate communication between members and develop positive, proactive working relationships with other staff
Installs new equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and project based needs per Facilities Managers with strong knowledge in power requirements working with outside service providers
Maintains electronic equipment
Perform preventive maintenance activities
Repair and/or replace equipment and sustain spare parts lists
Maintains equipment and a clean area by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, wiping down equipment within or outside of a cleanroom environment and able to lift 50lbs and support roof access to HVAC repairs with service provider
Maintains an open line of communication with cross-functional team members to ensure all problems or changes are communicated and resolved in a timely manner within a face-paced environment
Maintains records and documents as required
Complies with all local, state, federal, and Meraqi Medical safety regulations, policies, and procedures including Hazardous Waste regulations
Complies with all local Meraqi Medical quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles
Work with Project Managers and other team members to perform PM procedures on a periodic basis
Support activities related to equipment qualification and process validation
Review/maintain spare parts for equipment
Work overtime including weekends as necessary to support high priority requests or meet project goals
Perform other duties as needed to assist with equipment engineering projects
REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reports directly to the Operations Manager
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
No supervisory responsibility
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
A minimum of a High School diploma or GED required. Associate of Science Degree preferred
Vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience a plus
A Minimum of 5 years of experience with equipment maintenance in the Medical Device industry preferred
Experience in equipment used in medical device manufacturing process preferred
Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment; machining experience a plus
Basic wiring (AC/DC), cabling, and electronics knowledge reading schematics and handling ESD-sensitive components a plus
Self-motivated, strong work ethic, flexible, organized
Works well with others in a supportive and dynamic team environment
Able to effectively communicate ideas and issues to the engineering staff and other teams
Proficiency in basic computer skills, such as Word, Excel, and Share Point
Experience working in a clean room environment a plus
Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English, and must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Must be able to prioritize, and manage multiple deliverables while working in a fast-pace environment

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to move throughout office and laboratory space, using a complete variety of office equipment and laboratory machinery, and tools. May lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time, accessing the roof as needed. Must tolerate exposure to chemicals found in the Meraqi Medical Inc. environment.
