Assistant Controller

Responsibilities may include:
- Assist with leading and coordinating finance team in preparation for audit.
- Oversee month end and financial statement process to ensure timely and accurate completion and provide quarterly finance reports to bank, as assigned.
- Provide financial reports to tax preparation company and assist in ensuring tax information is processed and submitted in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure balance sheets are reconciled timely and accurately, ensure covenant compliance is met at all times, and complete cost reports for appropriate companies when required.
- Manages departmental software including creating reports and maintaining the system.
- Oversee the accounts payable team to ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner and oversee the sharing of information between the billing and finance departments.
- Ensure fiscal responsibility and identify inconsistencies or inefficiencies within any departmental process and establish solutions for process improvement and quality assurance.

Assist in the development of and ensure implementation of strategic planning and goal setting and ensure the financial team is conducting trend analysis for each of their responsible companies.

Assists Controller with any finance related legal issues and support the Controller position with coverage, as assigned.
Requirements for this position include:
- Four-year degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is required.
- At least five years of experience in the finance field is required.
- Experience with taxes, audits and GAAP is preferred.
- Management experience is preferred.
