The role:
As a full-time Traveling 3D Scanning Technician, you will play a critical role in capturing high-quality photography that support VIATechnik's reality capture work for leading brands. Your role in 360 photography (Matterport scanning), still photography, and drone photography will help us document existing conditions, monitor progress, and provide visually compelling material that enhances our client's deliverables.

In this role you will:

Travel to various project sites to perform 360 photo scans, still photography, and drone photography.

Travel continuously, by car, for multiple weeks at a time, typically performing 2-3 surveys per day for five days per week.

Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and deliverables.

Ensure the accuracy and quality of Matterport scans and drone footage, adhering to project and client specifications and industry standards.

Capture high-resolution, aesthetically compelling images that showcase the client's properties, facilities and assets.

Maintain and manage photography equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.

Organize and catalog visual assets in a structured manner for easy access by project teams.

Deliver completed scans and photograph deliverables within established timelines.

Stay up-to-date with advancements in photography, drone technology, and Matterport scanning to continuously improve the quality of your work.

Maintain compliance with all local and federal regulations related to drone operation and photography.
Apply if you have:

Some experience in Matterport scanning or an interest in learning how to 360 scan,

Some experience or interest in learning still photography or drone photography.

FAA Part 107 certification for commercial drone operation, or ability to quickly attain certification.

Exceptional technical proficiency with photography equipment, drones, and related software.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage travel schedules and deliverables effectively.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

A valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation( company may provide if needed , and the ability to travel extensively by car, for multiple weeks at a time.

Experience working in the architecture, engineering, or construction industry.

Knowledge of 3D modeling or photogrammetry tools.

Experience with client-facing or customer service roles or the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Compensation and featured benefits:
- The pay for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually, and the role is eligible for bonuses and work-related travel expense reimbursement. The actual salary offer may be different as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, location, and experience
- Health insurance with the choice of five plan options. We cover 70-95% of premiums for VIATechies and 65% of the premiums for dependents (depending on the plan chosen)
- Dental and vision insurance. We cover up to 75% of the monthly insurance premiums for VIATechies and up to 50% of the premiums for dependents (depending on the plans chosen)
