The role:
As a Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Project Manager, you'll have the opportunity to apply your technical, management, and business skills across a multitude of projects and contribute to world-class Building Information Modeling (BIM) and VDC for the MEP space.
This includes overseeing the successful execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) VDC projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This role requires strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource coordination, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and has a deep passion for collaboration with design, detailing, and construction teams to maintain project alignment and efficiency.

In this role you will:
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and work plans to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
- Facilitate and lead project meetings, ensuring clear communication and accountability across teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between VDC teams, project managers, and field teams to align expectations and deliverables.
- Monitor resource allocation, ensuring teams have the necessary tools, personnel, and information to complete tasks effectively.
- Track and report project performance metrics, identifying risks and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
- Ensure adherence to project specifications, contracts, and company standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement production management or Agile management methodologies.
- Manage quality control on project deliverables.
- Support project teams with issue resolution, proactively addressing challenges that may impact the schedule or budget.
- Facilitate regular check-ins, strategic reviews, and continuous feedback loops to proactively address challenges and opportunities.
- Stay informed on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to provide valuable guidance to our team and our clients.
- Travel to client sites and other VIATechnik company locations.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. Enhance VIATechnik's goal of continuous improvement within our company, for our clients, and for the industry.
- Contribute to the VIATechnik culture of one-team, professional development, and knowledge sharing by participating in and leading training efforts.
Apply if you have:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, construction management or a related field.
- 5 years of experience with mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) trade contractors or general contractors in VDC, construction technology, or a related role.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across organizations.
- Strong proficiency in project management processes, tools, systems, workflows, and schedules.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Capacity to read and interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications, schedules).
- A knack for managing multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Even better if you have:
- Familiarity with managing BIM and VDC across the project lifecycle including operations and facilities management.
- Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
- A track record of effectively working with and/or managing teams remotely.
- Aptitude for working effectively in an extremely fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Compensation and featured benefits:
- The pay for this position is $90,000 - $110,000, and the role is eligible for bonuses. The actual salary offer may be different as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, location, and experience
- Health insurance with the choice of five plan options. We cover 70-95% of premiums for VIATechies and 65% of the premiums for dependents (depending on the plan chosen)
- Dental and vision insurance. We cover up to 75% of the monthly insurance premiums for VIATechies and up to 50% of the premiums for dependents (depending on the plans chosen)
