Job Summary: The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the scheduling of production activities, overseeing the Kanban system, and maintaining accurate inventory levels to support production and customer demand.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely completion of manufacturing processes and meet customer delivery requirements.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory levels to meet production and customer demand while minimizing excess stock.
- Kanban Management: Oversee and manage the Kanban system as part of inventory control to ensure efficient workflow and inventory management.
- Materials Management: Ensure the timely and accurate availability of materials required for production, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the current scheduling, Kanban, and materials management systems and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production, procurement, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
- Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze inventory and scheduling data to make informed decisions and adjustments to the systems.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on scheduling, Kanban principles, materials management, and best practices.
- Inventory Software Management: Utilize inventory management software to track and manage inventory levels accurately.
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing scheduling, Kanban systems, and materials inventory control.
- Manufacturing experience is helpful.
- Knowledge of Oracle is helpful.
- Proficiency in Excel is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and tools.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- May require lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Perform various tasks as assigned.
