Position Purpose
The Member Service Specialist is responsible for assisting members and performing a broad variety of member services.
Essential Duties
- Handle incoming phone calls quickly and professionally. Direct member calls to the proper area and handle phone transfer requests. Direct lobby traffic to the department the member needs.
- Educate and provide membership with general information pertaining to products and services.
- Sort and deliver mail to the proper departments.
- Review and process changes of name, address, or other account information.
- Assist members with information and assist them in signing up for electronic services
- Process verification of deposits.
- Keep rate boards update, lobby organized, and teller queue-line fully stocked with pens, brochures, and rate sheets.
- Must be willing to maintain a work schedule determined by the demographic needs of the branch location and be willing to adapt to the changing needs of the branch schedule as necessary.
- Follows policy and procedures related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) daily to ensure compliance with current regulations.
- Build relationships and actively cross sell beneficial products and services.
- Respond to member requests and provide effective solutions to resolve situations.
- Complete required daily, monthly and quarterly reports and assignments.
- Perform Teller transactions and serve as a back-up when needed for branch coverage.
- Perform other special assignments as needed.
