Quality Assurance Inspector I

Description

JOB SUMMARY:  Inspect, report, and document findings relating to conformance and non-conformance of products during receiving, manufacturing in progress, and finished goods.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect incoming material, work in progress, and finished goods.
• Attention to detail.
• Read Sampling Charts to determine appropriate inspection levels.
• Reading in-house and customer specifications.
• Use measurement devices to determine product conformance.
• Remove Non-conforming products from the production line and report to appropriate personnel.
• Discuss all inspection results with the production team.
• Maintain daily inspection records.
• Knowledge of manufacturing process and sampling techniques.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent required with 1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing, and/or quality assurance.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft office
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Knowledge of manufacturing process and sampling techniques.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to walk, climb, lift light amounts, stoop down, and reach arms above shoulders.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Must be able to report to workstation without assistance.
• Must be able to conduct repetitive motions daily.
