Job Function
Reporting into the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will be based out of New Castle, DE and will be responsible for ensuring the effective maintenance and operation of our plant equipment, buildings, and facilities. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with both hourly maintenance and production employees.
Responsibilities
- Directly oversee and coordinate the activities of hourly maintenance employees, including electricians ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Develop and implement strategies for planned and preventive maintenance of plant equipment, buildings, and facilities. Ensure that maintenance schedules are adhered to and that all equipment is properly maintained to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
- Enforce compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure that corrective actions are taken promptly. Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement among maintenance staff.
- Work closely with production to support continuous improvement initiatives within operations. Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and cost savings, and lead efforts to implement innovative solutions.
