Job Function
Reporting into the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will be based out of our New Castle, DE site and will be responsible for assisting with the overall operational responsibilities for the facility directing the workforce to meet the production and shipping plans safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Views safety as a core value and manages accordingly. Develops and implements safety policies in accordance with company protocol. Assures adherence to safety procedures and work instructions in accordance with company protocol.
- Reviews safety performance and promotes continuous improvement. Assures adherence to Federal, State, and Local regulations regarding safety and environmental compliance.
- Coach, counsel, train and develop employee skills.
- Review work schedules and production schedules for optimum results.
- Drive department compliance with established safety, training and ensure compliance with all company policies, plant rules and all regulatory agencies.
- Facilitates operations training and qualification process
- Maximizes operational efficiency by ensuring that units run in optimal operating conditions to maximize product yields
- Participate in and lead LEAN manufacturing activities as needed
- Conduct routine safety and sanitation inspections to promote employee safety and good housekeeping.
- Manages materials to meet recognized production requirements and in accordance with inventory management practices
- Schedule production for the plant's product circuits.
- Manages productivity and efficiencies using metrics and continuous improvement protocol.
- Possesses and continuously develops knowledge of customer requirements and factory's ability to produce.
- Fills in for Production Manager when required
- Other duties as assigned by Production Manager and / or Plant Manager
- Ability to work flex shift, as needed
