Position Overview:
Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Director, the Senior Supply Chain Analyst will be based out of Houston, TX and is responsible for tracking precious metals and inventory processes while driving the development of accurate inventory forecasts. Key Responsibilities:
Forecasting & Inventory Management:
- Develop and maintain accurate inventory forecasts, integrating data from planned production schedules, sales forecasts, network changes, and promotional events.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, positioning, and lead times to ensure alignment with cost, delivery, and service expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate inputs for new product introductions and changes in demand.
- Determine material requirements based on forecast data and coordinate the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering teams.
- Ensure the timely availability of precious metals and other critical inventory components to avoid production disruptions.
- Analyze historical and real-time data to identify trends, root causes of discrepancies, and opportunities for optimization in inventory processes.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to forecasting methodologies to improve accuracy and responsiveness to market dynamics.
- Continuously evaluate and refine processes to enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve value across the supply chain.
- Communicate complex forecasting data and inventory insights to diverse stakeholders across the organization.
- Influence decision-making by presenting clear, data-driven recommendations to leadership and other departments.
- Manage projects and processes with limited supervision, ensuring timely delivery of objectives that support organizational goals.
- Coach and review the work of junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Anticipate long-term implications of supply chain decisions and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
- Set objectives and deliver results that directly impact the achievement of short- to medium-term organizational goals.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in supply chain forecasting, inventory management, or related areas.
- Skills:
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex issues.
- Proficiency in supply chain forecasting tools, ERP systems, and data visualization platforms.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively influence and collaborate with diverse audiences.
