Quality Control Technician

Overview:

This is an hourly position. The incumbent will primarily be responsible for performing a variety of chemical, electrical, and physical tests on products, intermediates and raw materials.

This position is a 42 hour work week, working 12 hours shifts (6pm/6am) with guaranteed 2 hours of overtime each week . Our shifts run :

A Shift- Sun-Tues, 600am-600pm, Weds- 600am-1200pm

B Shift- Sun-Tues, 600pm-600am, Weds 600pm-1200am

C Shift- Weds 1200pm-600pm, Thurs-Sat, 600am-600pm

D Shift- Weds 1200am-600am, Thurs-Sat 600pm-600am

You will train on A/B shifts for the first 6-7 months, once training is complete, you will be on D shift overnights.

We offer shift differentials (5% night shift M-F/10% weekend days/12% weekend nights) on top of your hourly rate.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Performs job duties in compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety policies and practices.

· Adheres to Core Values and Behaviors

· Performs testing of raw materials in accordance with raw materials specifications.

· Performs in-process and finished goods testing based on ISO9001/IATF16949 control plans.

· Performs equipment calibrations and maintenance as required to assure instrumentation is in top working order.

· Reports in-process test data into NWA Quality Analyst SPC software and monitors for zone rule violations.

· Reports raw material and finished goods data on job tickets and monitors for specification compliance.

· Samples incoming raw materials as required.

· Assists in maintenance of raw material and finished product retains

· Supports special testing requests for Engineering, R&D and AT as requested.

· Updates training as required to maintain proficiency in Main and Polishing Lab test methods.

Required Qualifications:

· Demonstrated ability to perform chemical testing using similar or relative equipment.

· Ability to follow documented procedures and standards.

· Strong computer skills

· Good project management skills

· Able to work 12 hour shifts with much of that time being spent standing or walking.

Competencies:

· Able to multi-task and work under time constraints.

· Able to work independently with minimal supervision

· Must be able to test and report data with minimal errors.cts to our customers.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
