What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Press Brake Operator position at Vibration Mountings and Controls Inc?
CANFAB Management LLC, A VMC GROUP COMPANY is seeking a CNC Press Brake Operator in the Forming department. The ideal candidate will be skilled in reading blueprints, using a tape measure and calipers, and can perform set-ups on multiple machines. We’re looking for a long-term candidate who is eager to learn and take on new challenges.
Essential Functions not limited to:
- Must read blueprints and perform shop math to layout and fabricate various parts and assemblies
- Ability to use handheld measuring tools including a tape measure and calipers
- Experience with gauging thickness of material
- Ability to operate CNC press brakes (Cincinnati)
- Accurate and efficient set-up of machines in accordance with proper set-up techniques
- Properly operate machine to run efficiently, produce quality products and maximize machine utilization
- Maintain quality requirements in accordance with company standards
- Responsible for reporting all quality defects
- Perform daily housekeeping to ensure the work area is always clean and organized
- Other duties and responsibilities as required
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration and contact with metals and lubricants. The noise level in the work environment can be moderate to loud.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The position involves standing, walking and lifting and moving up to 30 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Overtime, Fridays and Saturdays may be required at the request of your supervisor.

Required Education and Experience
- 2 years of manufacturing experience with machine operation
- Metalworking fabrication experience
