Description:

VMC Group is seeking a VP of Human Resources. In this key leadership role, you will be instrumental in crafting and implementing an HR strategy that aligns with VMC Group’s overall objectives and drives business success. Working closely with the Executive Team, you will spearhead both immediate and long-term HR initiatives using a strategic, collaborative approach. As VP of Human Resources, you will manage a wide array of functions including performance management, HR compliance, succession planning, employee relations, compensation, training and development, as well as employee engagement and retention.

Key Responsibilities not limited to:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives and foster a growth-oriented and innovative workplace culture.
  • Lead strategic HR initiatives, including workforce planning, organizational design, career pathing, performance management, and leadership development.
  • Utilize HR analytics to track key metrics, identify trends, and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Conduct employee engagement initiatives, including regular surveys and feedback collection, to enhance workplace satisfaction and address areas for improvement.
  • Oversee HR aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, integration planning, and post-close organizational alignment.
  • Provide the Executive Team with insights on HR trends, best practices, and organizational development opportunities.

Compliance & Employment Law

  • Ensure full compliance with employment laws and industry regulations, implementing policies to mitigate risks and safeguard the organization.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies that support ethical business practices and legal compliance.

Performance Management & Employee Relations

  • Oversee the performance management framework, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and improvement plans.
  • Provide high-level HR expertise, coaching, and guidance to managers on employee relations, policy application, and career development.
  • Develop career development programs and succession planning strategies to enhance employee growth and organizational leadership.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, supporting talent analysis and workforce planning efforts.

Employer Branding

  • Partners with Talent Acquisition to strengthen VMC Group’s brand on platforms such as Glassdoor and LinkedIn to strengthen recruitment efforts.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Conduct ongoing analysis of compensation and benefits programs to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Partner with senior leadership to refine compensation strategies, ensuring equity and performance-driven rewards.

Training & Development

  • Design and execute training programs that enhance employee skills, leadership capabilities, and workforce development at all levels.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly desirable.
  • Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) are a plus.

Strategic & Analytical Thinking

  • Ability to translate business strategies into actionable HR initiatives with measurable outcomes.
  • Proficiency in HR analytics and the use of HRIS systems.

Leadership & Communication

  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and mentor a diverse HR team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing at all levels of the organization.
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and the unique challenges faced in industrial settings.
  • Experience with change management, conflict resolution, and workforce planning.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and industry-specific safety regulations.
  • Experience managing compliance, labor relations, and risk mitigation strategies.
