Responsibilities

The dietary household assistant performs the combined duties of dining services, (including cook, kitchen assistant and kitchen activities). As the cook, the household assistant will prepare food for the household meals and snacks that are healthy and appetizing and served in a timely manner, maintaining high quality standards and portion control using standardized recipes for one floor (up to 21 residents)& & Assumes general responsibility for the kitchen and assists with serving resident meals, snacks and nourishments. Facilitates activities for elders and the household that involve food preparation or other activities specific to the kitchen.&

Duration : 13 weeks contract

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food services in a long term care or hospital setting - Required&
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)& is required and / or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• 1 Plus year of Experience in skilled care or residential services for the elderly - Highly& Preferred
