Established in 1969, Vic Bailey Automotive is a family-owned and operated dealership group in Spartanburg, SC. The group includes Ford, Lincoln, Mazda, Subaru, Honda, and Volkswagen. There is a collision center located on the Mazda Subaru campus.

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Automotive Sales Associate to join our team. As an Automotive Sales Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers in the purchase of new and used vehicles while providing exceptional customer service. Your primary goal will be to achieve sales targets, build lasting relationships with customers, and contribute to the overall success of our dealership.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to all prospective buyers, ensuring a positive and memorable car buying experience.
  • Greet customers, understand their needs, and guide them through the vehicle selection process based on their preferences, budget, and lifestyle.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase vehicle features, specifications, and benefits.
  • Conduct test drives and answer customer inquiries regarding vehicle performance, safety features, and maintenance requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms of sale in a professional and transparent manner, aiming to achieve maximum profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to secure financing or leasing options for customers and assist in completing necessary paperwork.
  • Build and maintain a strong customer database by following up with potential buyers and maintaining relationships with existing customers.
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, market trends, and industry developments to provide accurate information and advice to customers.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to meet sales targets, share best practices, and contribute to the overall success of the dealership.
  • Attend sales training programs and workshops to enhance selling skills and stay informed about new vehicle models and features.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in automotive sales or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a drive to succeed in a competitive sales environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Knowledge of automotive technology, features, and industry trends.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using CRM software and sales-related applications.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Clean substance abuse screening.
