Position Overview :
The Head of Marketing (VICE Sports) will oversee the VICE Sports marketing strategy for VICE Media, including VICE TV and VICE Studios, overseeing all digital and linear touchpoints to drive audience growth, engagement, and revenue. This role requires an expert in TV, digital content marketing, social media, SEO, paid media, and data analytics, with a keen understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in the media and entertainment industry.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in digital marketing within a media or entertainment context, with a focus on using data-driven insights to grow audiences, optimize content reach, and maximize monetization strategies.

- Oversee all marketing efforts across VICE TV - inclusive of on-air promos, affiliate, social, paid media, and more.
VICE Sports Digital Strategy Development :
Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy that aligns with the company's goals, focusing on audience growth, engagement, and content distribution across owned and third-party platforms (social media, websites, apps, etc.).Identify and prioritize digital channels (e.g., social, search, video, email) to maximize audience reach, engagement, and revenue generation.Audience Growth and Engagement :
Develop and implement strategies to grow and retain digital audiences, ensuring that content reaches the right demographics and maximizes engagement (e.g., shares, comments, video views).Oversee content personalization and optimization efforts, ensuring that digital marketing campaigns target the right audience segments.Drive community engagement on social platforms, ensuring that the brand maintains a strong voice and connects authentically with followers.Content Marketing and Distribution :
Collaborate with editorial and content teams to ensure a consistent and engaging content strategy across digital platforms (web, mobile, social media, OTT).Oversee content promotion strategies, including SEO optimization, email campaigns, and partnerships with influencers, affiliates, and other media outlets.Optimize content for search engines (SEO) and paid media channels (PPC, display ads, programmatic) to increase visibility and reach.Paid Media & Advertising Strategy :
Lead paid digital advertising efforts (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, YouTube Ads, display, and programmatic) to drive traffic, subscriptions, and revenue.Oversee budget allocation for paid campaigns, ensuring maximum ROI through detailed targeting, testing, and optimization.Social Media Strategy and Execution :
Oversee social media strategy across all major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) for VICE TV and VICE Sports ensuring content resonates with target audiences and generates high engagement.Collaborate with content creators and influencers to develop and distribute compelling, shareable content that enhances brand visibility and audience loyalty.Data Analytics and Reporting :
Analyze digital performance using analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights, SEMrush, etc.) to monitor KPIs such as website traffic, conversion rates, audience demographics, content performance, and ROI.Provide regular performance reports to senior leadership, offering insights on audience behavior and campaign performance to inform future strategy.Continuously monitor and adjust campaigns based on data insights to ensure optimal performance.Monetization Strategy :
Work with revenue teams to optimize digital advertising and subscription models, including strategies for paid content, branded partnerships, native advertising, and sponsorships.Develop and oversee strategies to monetize digital content across different platforms, such as implementing digital subscriptions, paywalls, or syndication deals.Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Partner with the editorial, video production, design, and product teams to ensure that digital campaigns and content are aligned with brand messaging and business goals.Collaborate with sales teams to develop targeted campaigns for advertisers, leveraging audience data and insights to offer tailored digital solutions.Brand Awareness and PR Integration :
Work closely with public relations and brand marketing teams to ensure digital efforts are integrated into the overall brand strategy and that media exposure drives further engagement and traffic.Innovative Digital Trends :
Stay on top of emerging digital marketing trends, technologies, and platforms, especially within the media industry (e.g., live streaming, podcasting, TikTok marketing, etc.).Experiment with new formats and tactics (e.g., AR / VR experiences, interactive content, etc.) to engage audiences in innovative ways.Required Skills and Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (Master's degree preferred).Experience :7 years of digital marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a media or entertainment company.
Proven experience managing large-scale digital campaigns, including social media, SEO, SEM, video marketing, email marketing, and digital advertising.A strong understanding of audience development strategies, particularly for media platforms (e.g., news, entertainment, digital video, etc.).Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), web analytics tools, and digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, etc.).Key Skills :Expertise in digital marketing tactics and strategies with a focus on content and media-driven campaigns.

The salary range is subject to change and may be amended in the future. Experience, education, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
Pay Range Details : 160,000-180,000
