Position Summary :

The role of the Managing Director is to ensure alignment and provide leadership across the agency's offering to clients, the agency's output, and overall business operations. This requires a holistic agency point of view and cross functional collaboration with department leaders across Virtue and Vice, and their respective teams. The Managing Director is the solutions-oriented executive generalist on the ground, partnering with leaders across the world-wide network, and the primary point of contact for all management level needs for Virtue in the region. Additionally and equally important, is the development and fostering of a work environment and culture that encourages a challenger mentality, collaboration, proactive thinking, action by team members, and reinforces our differentiated point of view.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Develop an agency roadmap for the region to grow as a business, as a culture, and as a creative agency brand
  • Drive growth, supporting all Virtue new business activity whether this be new clients or organic growth of existing clients
  • Work closely with Business Development, account management and finance teams to ensure pipelines and forecasts are updated regularly
  • Support new business pitches to grow the business
  • Provide effective client leadership, in conjunction with the appropriate client services personnel
  • Advance the key client relationships by building executive level trust and maintaining positive rapport through clear understanding of client's business, sound strategic leadership and partnership commitment
  • Partner with department leaders in performance review processes; help to coach team members to maximize success, set goals for career development, and advocate for high performing team members
  • Ensure all solutions meet client needs as well as align with our capabilities as an agency
  • Provide oversight of internal and external resources being used to execute and deliver programs
  • Financial management of client accounts (as needed) and overall agency P&L
  • Lead monthly operating reviews
  • Ongoing improvements and optimizations to our org structure & operations

Requirements :

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 12 years of experience, which may include agency or senior client-side marketing experience
  • Demonstrated solid senior-level client experience, and the ability to navigate complex organizations
  • Proven track record driving business growth
  • Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders
  • Successful at pitching and converting leads into new clients.
  • Growth mindset with a focus on driving net new business and organic growth.
  • Commercially astute and able to quickly identify, understand and articulate a range of strategic business challenges to identify and leverage opportunities.
  • Strong collaborators with multiple partners with proven influencing skills.
  • Expertise in integrated marketing across digital and traditional channels.
  • An impressive track record of project and performance management; you're known for your ability to coach and develop talent, inspire and drive change, and bring varied groups together to collaborate
  • Ability to craft creative briefs and provide clear, persuasive summaries to Creative and Strategy teams, and remain an active contributor throughout the creative development process
  • Versatility in ideation across programs; campaign, brand IP, social, experiential, influencer, and beyond
  • Concurrently lead and grow multiple clients
  • High emotional intelligence
  • Professionalism, maturity, and gravitas to build strong relationships at all levels, both internally and with clients.
  • Adept at leading account financials and is highly experienced in producing profitable agency relationships.
