2025 VICE VERSA INTERNSHIP
Vice Versa is seeking one intern to join our winemaking team for the 2025 vintage. Our winery is located just outside of Calistoga in the Napa Valley.
We produce high-caliber wines with quality always being at the forefront of what we do. We work with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc from iconic vineyards throughout the Napa Valley.
You will have the opportunity to work with fruit from historic sites in Stag's Leap, Oakville, St. Helena, and Calistoga.
We offer an exciting chance to work directly with a small and talented team.
You can expect to participate in all aspects of wine production.
Intern Duties:
- Crush pad activities: processing, sorting, transfers
- Pump overs, punch downs, and additions
- Fermentation monitoring and data entry
- Barrel activities: cleaning, filling, racking, and topping
- Draining and pressing
- Cleaning and sanitization of equipment
- Forklift operation
- Vineyard grape sampling and sensory evaluation
- Lab analysis
- Setup/breakdown of winery operations
- Keeping facility organized and tour-friendly
- Pressure washing
- Post-harvest equipment and facility cleaning
Qualifications:
- Two prior vintages
- Fluency in English
- Ability to work long hours for multiple days
- Ability to be on feet for most of the day
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time
- High attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for winemaking
- Positive attitude
- Commitment to work from mid-August through mid-November or longer
- Valid Driver's license
