Responsibilities
- Perform payroll processing duties, including calculating wages, preparing and distributing paychecks, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct income auditing activities to verify the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions, including revenue and expense records.
- Ensures the daily revenue posts successfully and corrects errors as needed.
- Enter revenue journals daily.
- Prepares miscellaneous revenue entries for posting.
- Complete daily promo/discount audit & reconciliation; post adjusting entry.
- Assist in the posting of accounts to the general ledger for: accounts receivable, cash receipts, accounts payable, cash disbursements, and payroll.
- Transmit credit card batches & reconcile payments.
- Daily review of accounts that are transferred from the Hotel/Restaurant to Accounts Receivable and monitor open house accounts.
- Performs daily cashiering responsibilities and ensures successful and accurate posting of cash entries to accounting systems.
- Complete monthly cash bank audits.
- Prepare financial reports and statements related to payroll, income auditing, and cashiering activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of payroll transactions, income audits, and cash handling activities.
- Provide support to other departments regarding payroll, income auditing, and cashiering-related inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
- Collaborate with other accounting staff to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or hotel management.
Qualifications
- Minimum one to two years accounting experience and/or education/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be self-directed, motivated and demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with an extraordinary eye for detail.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work effectively within fixed deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess a positive attitude.
