The primary responsibility of the Officer – Security Logistics is to assist with the daily operation of the loading docks, to include traffic control on the north/south road and coordinate delivery vehicles to the appropriate loading bays and work the Security Service Windows and badging/credentialing issuance areas, as directed.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. This is a safety–related position.
- Control access to the Loading Dock and Tour Bus Lobby and North/South Road
- Perform traffic control in the Loading Docks, Tour Bus Lobby and North/South Road
- Communicate regularly with Dock Master to receive instruction and provide important notifications.
- Ensure those entering the Dock area and Heart of House have the appropriate credentials and are authorized to be in the area.
- Perform duties related to the Security Service Windows and badging/credentialing issuance locations such as, but not limited to, issuing temporary/permanent access credentials as authorized and maintaining an asset control system for the accounting of company property.
- Work in conjunction with the Warehouse/Receiving Team regarding scheduling and proper use of their space.
- Patrol the Loading Dock, North/South Road, Tour Bus Lobby, and Heart of House for suspicious incidents, illegal acts, unauthorized personnel, and damage/hazards.
- Complete required Security Reports.
- Participate in Security Officer campus rotation, as required
- Maintain certification in CPR, Control Force, OSHA, and Handcuffing/Search Procedures.
- Safety is an essential function of this job.

- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High school diploma.
- Must be able to obtain/possess a valid Nevada Driver’s License, Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration, Techniques of Alcohol Management (TAM) Card or Alcohol Awareness Card, and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- Demonstrated experience in civilian or military law enforcement, casino/hotel security, industrial security, or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in investigating incidents, interviewing witnesses and drafting legible, factual reports.
- Working knowledge of general first aid preferred.
- Working knowledge of common computer programs such as Microsoft Office products and email programs such as Outlook.
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws pertaining to law enforcement and gaming.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Lift or carry 46 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
- Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
