Vickers Design Group is a renowned full service design and architecture firm located in Atlanta, GA. We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to be part of our team as a Senior Interior Designer. This is a full-time salaried position.
General Description of Role:
Capable and responsible for handling a wide variety of projects that vary in complexity. Responsible for delivering exceptional design and delivery for clients. Designer will handle coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects. Prepares strategic plans, possess strong communications skills, a positive attitude and ability to creatively solve complex issues. Serves as primary liaison with clients to complete projects on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction. Actively manages client budgets, schedule, and programs; in-house budget and schedule; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks, and project team assignments. Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts. Provides oversight and monitoring of work of less experienced staff. Senior Interior Designers are subject matter experts in the field of Interior Design.
Responsibilities
- Manage design process from concept to construction on several interior design projects running concurrently.
- Ensure that the interior design solutions are aesthetically pleasing, driven by a design concept, client focused and within budget.
- Interface directly with clients, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders throughout the duration of the project.
- Research code regulations to ensure layouts meet local jurisdictional requirements
- Manage daily workflow and ensure deadlines are met.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members.
- Develop new designs, materials and concepts.
- Ensure safety regulations are followed.
- Mentor and build strength in team members through careful planning and evaluation of team members.
- Create and strengthen connections with new and existing clients
- Track and assign project task per project team; manage project team to ensure task are completed in an accurate and detailed manner
- Initiate design and lead team in the production of drawings
- Review project budget and assist in the preparation of invoicing
- Attend industry events in an effort to network and market the firm
- Pursue new clientele with a strategic and thoughtful road may and strategy
- Develop and continue to improve company standards, technical knowledge, and design expertise
Requirements
- Accredited professional degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
- Focused experience in Workplace Design
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
- 10 years of experience in interior design.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and close attention to detail.
- Proficient with Revit and Microsoft Office Applications
