Description

Vickers and Nolan Enterprises (VNE) is an engineering company that provides Government projects and programs with experienced and dedicated system architects, engineers, subject matter experts (in tactical intelligence), and program managers. VNE also develops training courses and tools to prepare warfighters to effectively employ tactical intelligence systems and provide management guidance to the Government organizations that develop these systems.

Qualifications


VNE, LLC is looking for a TS/SCI Cleared SME 2

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: 

 

  • Associate Degree Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Working towards CM Certification from the Configuration Management Process Improvement Center (CMPIC).
  • Technical Training in relevant technical field.

Experience:

  • Ten (10) years of practical experience in computer systems operations. Experience in task specific project, to include three (3) of the following four (4) areas: Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training.
  • Eight (8) years of progressive experience in data entry and formatting via common productivity tools such as the Microsoft Office Suite. A foundational working knowledge of the Configuration Management Professional (CMPRO) document, software, and hardware repositories.
  • Recognized expert who has demonstrated industry and public service leadership in relevant technical field
  • TS/SCI level Clearance required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: 

  • Additional 3 years of experience as a configuration manager supporting IT programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree Computer Science or Information Technology.

Job Description:

  • Required to respond to technical and programmatic data calls related to the systems; defining baselines and versioning; initiating and conducting studies that examine upgrades and changes to the systems.
  • Provide lab support to include receipt and sending of software and maintain daily accountability of classified software in the lab.
  • Required to ensure all baseline software is proper registered within Department of Navy Application and Database Management System (DADMS).
  • Participate in the preparation and/or review of documentation such as Software Version Description Documents (SVDD), Software Development Plans, and Software Load Plans. Local Configuration Control Board (LCCB), meeting and facilitate the promotion of change management artifacts such as but not limited to, ECRs, Platform Technical Review Board (PTRB) briefs to the PMW Configuration Control Board (CCB) as required for all sustainment baselines.
  • Responsible for the tracking and management of COTS/GOTS software license requirements, software distribution, and software patch upgrades for all sustainment baselines. The Contractor shall provide technical reports/agendas/meeting minutes and trip reports.

Essential Duties of the Job:

  • Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
  • Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
  • Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
  • Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (i.e. general office environment).
