Job Description
VICTA is a one-stop shop for comprehensive care in an outpatient clinic setting. A continuum of substance use, mental health, and medical treatment services is offered in our therapeutic environment. These services are designed and implemented on an individualized basis to support the recovery, health, and overall wellbeing of all persons served. - Responsible for providing psychiatric services to clients in an outpatient setting including psychiatric evaluations and medication management services.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat adults experiencing symptoms of substance use and/or mental health concerns, including education and counseling as clinically appropriate..
- Collaborate with physicians, midlevel prescribers, counselors, social workers, and other treatment team members to coordinate client care.
- Provide education and consultation to clinical staff as needed.
- Responsible for timely and accurate completion of medical records, including assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, outcome measures, and billing entries.
- Design/participate in the development of individualized treatment plans, incorporating best and leading practices into treatment interventions.
- Order and review laboratory or diagnostic tests for clients to provide information on therapeutic effects, side effects, and/or general physical condition.
- Responsible for making independent decisions based on protocols developed utilizing national guidelines for treatment interventions.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with staff, clients, and community stakeholders.
- Participate in and/or initiate strategies to improve and promote quality.
