Responsibilities:
- Embrace the company's safety philosophy and comply with all safety rules and regulations.
- Schedule and coordinate lean events throughout all departments of the facility.
- Work with all levels of staff to identify, document and prioritize opportunities for improvement, develop solutions, and implement change.
- Plan and conduct lean events while simultaneously training personnel with the lean tools.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver continuous improvements.
- Mentor project leaders and promote a lean culture.
- Develop business plan objectives/goals for lean initiatives utilizing the current Facility Excellence Mapping (FEM) program.
- Action-oriented with a strategic mindset
- Strong technical abilities
- Must be hands on.
- Position requires an ‘on the manufacturing floor’ presence.
- Understanding of manufacturing, production planning and engineering
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing the know how to execute those tools to reduce waste
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Ability to present and speak in front of small groups
- Ability to use Microsoft suite – specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Preferred: 4-year technical degree
