Dansville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is looking for experienced Automotive Technicians to support our growth.
Each Automotive Technician must be properly licensed and have the experience necessary to provide our customers with optimum service. You will work on a variety of trucks, SUVs, sedans and coupes.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testing
- Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs
- Repairs automobiles and light trucks and fleet vehicles as assigned
- Inspect vehicles according to the state’s requirements for emissions and safety
- Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness
- Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
- Required to self-inspect assigned lift on a monthly basis
- Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions
- Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules
- Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Requirements
- NYS Automotive Inspection License required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of service technician experience
- Knowledge of Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram automotive products helpful but not required
- ASE certification a plus
- Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge
- Unrestricted NYS driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to Reliably commute to work
- Can drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
- Basic computer and internet skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) as needed
- Spends 100% of workday standing
