Basic Functions
Provide leadership, training, and guidance to student athletes.
*Part-time (up to 67%) hourly teaching assignments are on an as needed basis and instructional salary will be based on Education level in accordance with the Victor Valley Community College-AFT Collective Bargaining agreement.
Stipend coaching assignments are not subject to load and hourly requirements. Compensation for non-classroom coaching duties will be covered under the flat-rate stipend amount for the season.

Applicants will remain in the pool for at least 12 months.
COACHING STIPENED:
There is a $12,000 stipend for the coaching salary.
Representative Duties
Coach student athletes in skill development. Foster team cohesion and organization. Provide tools and teach skills that cultivate well-rounded student development within and outside of athletic programs. Organize and lead practices and games. Coordinate travel to and from games. Actively recruit student athletes within VVC and from the community. Coordinate team fundraising efforts.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any bachelor's degree and two (2) years of professional experience, or any associate degree and six (6) years of professional experience OR the equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
• College/university Cross-Country coaching experience

The number of part-time instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Your application will be maintained in this adjunct pool for 12 months.
