JOB TITLE : ED Nursing Supervisor
REPORTS TO : Director of Emergency Services
POSITION SUMMARY : This job may require the employee to be responsible for overseeing a department unit. The employee must be competent in the interpretation of a patient’s self-report or behavior and this information must be interpreted with a critical thinking process to ensure patient care is individualized and reflects an understanding of the needs and range of treatment needs for each patient. The employee will function as a staff RN, but also will be required to assist with administrative duties in conjunction with the Director. Performs all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE : Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred. BSN preferred. Four years of experience as an acute care RN or one year supervisory / lead experience in an acute care setting required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : Current California RN license, BLS, PALS and ACLS. Violence Prevention & De-Escalation certificate within 90 days of hire. CEN preferred.
