We are seeking a reliable and experienced School Bus Driver to join our team at Victor Valley Union High School District. As a substitute bus driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, special events, and field trips.
About the Role
As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for:
- Driving a school bus over designated routes in accordance with specified time schedules and regulations.
- Picking up and discharging students at established bus stops.
- Stopping traffic and escorting students across streets and roadways as needed to ensure student safety.
- Maintaining order and discipline among students on the bus while following district policies and procedures.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake and school bus endorsement.
- A current Special Driver Certificate.
- A current Medical Examiner's Card (DL51A).
- A current First Aid Certification Card.
- No moving violations within two years preceding the application date.
- No accidents within three years preceding the application date, except if not at fault or caused by another party.
