Position Overview :
We are seeking a creative and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in planning, organizing, and facilitating a variety of activities that promote the well-being and quality of life for our residents.
Your work will help foster a sense of community, belonging, and joy.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in designing and coordinating recreational programs tailored to residents’ interests and needs.
- Conduct interviews with residents and families to personalize activity plans.
- Contribute to the recreation department's quality assurance initiatives.
- Provide input on equipment and supply needs for activities.
- Organize parties, games, and social events to engage and entertain residents.
- Encourage resident involvement in all social programs, ensuring inclusivity.
- Supervise residents during activities to support their physical, social, and emotional health.
- Build strong relationships with residents to enhance their self-esteem and well-being.
- Support residents with arts, crafts, and other creative projects.
- Lead group and one-on-one sessions that foster community and self-worth.
Qualifications :
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Enthusiastic and creative, with a passion for working with the elderly.
- Experience with geriatric or adult populations preferred.
- Compassionate and team-oriented, with a positive and outgoing personality.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude.
