In this leadership role, you will oversee daily nursing operations, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to provide high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities :
- Leadership & Oversight : Supervise daily nursing operations, ensuring adherence to facility policies and state / federal regulations.
- Quality Patient Care : Work closely with the DON and ADON to uphold exceptional care standards while minimizing overtime and agency reliance.
- Personnel Management : Guide, mentor, and manage unit staff, facilitate team meetings, and oversee scheduling for optimal coverage.
- Problem Solving : Address and resolve personnel concerns effectively, escalating issues as needed to maintain a positive work environment.
- Skills Development : Provide hands-on training, evaluate nursing competencies, and foster a high-performing team.
- Compliance & Documentation : Ensure the accurate completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and support quality assurance initiatives.
- Family and Resident Relations : Assist with discharge planning and ensure residents and their families receive compassionate, high-quality care.
- Committee Participation : Represent the nursing department in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to facility-wide improvement plans.
