About the role
Aquinas College is a Catholic Secondary College in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne with an enrolment of over 1700. We wish to appoint a dynamic, suitably qualified musician to the position of Classroom Music Teacher and Instrumental Music Teacher – Voice. This is a 0.4 FTE, fixed term 12 month position for the 2025 school year.
The successful applicant will :
- Have the ability to teach Voice
- Be willing to teach individual as well as small group lessons
- Be comfortable teaching Year 7 – 12 students including VCE groups and solo students
- Have the ability to facilitate and conduct large core ensembles, and small extension vocal ensembles (multiple part harmony)
- Participate in school music events as required from time to time
- Have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Be able to work successfully within a team
