Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiver Assistant to join our team at Victorian Senior Care. As a key member of our care team, you will provide personal care assistance to residents in an Assisted Living Community, promoting their independence and dignity.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized support with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as toileting, ambulation, eating, transferring, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Ensure residents are dressed appropriately when in living areas or outside the building.
- Teach residents self-help skills to maximize their independence and freedom of movement.
- Perform basic personal care tasks, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Respond promptly to resident requests for assistance.
- Collaborate with Activities Coordinators to implement planned activities and events.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of resident services, including progress notes and incident reports.
Requirements:
- C.N.A. or Personal Care Aide Certificate (80-Hour) required; must obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and follow directions.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- No substantiated findings on the NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program.
- Clear SBI record and maintain during employment.
- Two-step tuberculin skin test required prior to hire and within two weeks of first test.
