Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine dining and food service, with exceptional team management skills. This role is crucial in ensuring an outstanding guest experience while maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage front-of-house staff, including hosts, servers, and bartenders, to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless communication between the kitchen and dining area.
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow during peak hours.
- Implement training programs for staff on service standards, menu knowledge, and cash handling procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels of dining supplies and coordinate with suppliers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the restaurant environment.
- Support our banquet department in special events and banquets, ensuring all details are executed flawlessly.
Experience
- Proven 3 or more years experience in a management role within a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting.
- Strong background in team management, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Familiarity with culinary operations and food management practices.
- Experience in cash handling and financial reporting within a food service environment.
- Knowledge of banquet operations is a plus.
- Previous experience in kitchen management is a plus but not required.
