NextGen Pastor/Director

Purpose of the Job: 

To provide leadership, vision, and direction that creates a life-giving atmosphere of vibrant and enticing discipleship and evangelism for the kids, students, and the NextGen team of Victory Church.  The NextGen Director will manage the church-wide direction of Victory Kids and Victory Student Ministry across all campuses. 

Experience and Knowledge Required: 

• Ability to communicate the Gospel through various means to students at various ages. 

• Leadership background and experience serving with kids and Students.  Heart for kids, students, and parents. 

• Proven ability to lead staff and Serve Team. 

• Project management experience. 

• Ability to articulate and implement the vision of Victory Church. 

• Exceptional leadership and communication skills. 

• Superior interpersonal skills working with a variety of people from Serve Team members to parents to kids and students. 

• Solid theological grounding and creativity in implementing ministry curriculum scope and sequence. 

• Positive attitude and positive approach to problem solving.  Must be solution oriented.      

• Computer competency in Microsoft Office, and other products. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

• Oversee and organize Victory Student Ministry. 

• Formulate Kid’s Ministry and Student Ministry facility standards for existing and new locations. 

• Work with Kids Director to develop integrated training processes for nursery, preschool, kids, students and special needs ministry leaders and Serve Team members. 

• Work closely with ministry leaders at each campus and analyze effectiveness of programming and adjust as needed. 

• Lead and build teams to execute all aspects of kid’s ministry and student ministry for weekend services. 

• Develop healthy community among parents and equip parents for discipleship their kids and students. 

• Track growth for future development. 

• Oversee and develop the Sunday experience for all kids and students. 

• Oversee and develop a Worship experience for all students. 

• Oversee special event planning for NextGen 

• Oversee all kid and student aspects of new campus development. 

• Oversee quality of services and function at all campuses. 

• Fulfill pastoral duties including counseling, baptism, communion, hospital visitation, and general pastoral care as needed. 

• Lead department meetings and empower staff to fulfill their unique roles 

• Maintain strong communication and relationship with the Executive Pastor of Ministry, Direct Reports and Serve Team to ensure the vision of the church is implemented in all aspects of family ministry.

Supervisor Responsibilities: 

• Victory Kids and Victory Students full time and part time staff at all locations.
