Single Parent Ministry Administrative Assistant
Position Status: Part time (29 Hours per Week)
Classification: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
The Single Parent Ministry (SPM) Administrative Assistant provides essential support to the SPM Pastor, ensuring the smooth operation of the ministry. This role requires strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality while assisting with various administrative and ministry-related tasks. Weekend hours are required to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Single Parent Ministry Pastor, including scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing ministry events, ensuring all logistics and necessary preparations are in place.
- Creatively contribute to the development of ministry initiatives and projects as directed by the SPM Pastor.
- Maintain organized records, databases, and documentation while ensuring confidentiality is strictly upheld.
- Serve as a point of contact for ministry-related inquiries, providing professional and courteous communication and reporting all information back to SPM Pastor.
- Support weekend ministry activities, including events, meetings, outreach efforts, and being present at all weekend services.
- Uphold strict confidentiality regarding all discussions, interactions, and phone calls within the Single Parent Ministry office.
- Manage and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information including all phone calls, emails, and interactions, particularly related to minors involved in the ministry.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work creatively and proactively to fulfill ministry objectives.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a ministry environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other administrative tools.
