TMS Technician

TMS Tech’s Job Purpose:

As the TMS Technician you will play a crucial role in administering TMS treatments. TMS system training and certification will be provided.

The ideal candidate will be professional and positive, have a background in healthcare and customer service, be organized with attention to detail, have excellent communication skills, and be a excellent problem solver.

Job Title: TMS Tech

Job Classification: Hourly, Full-time

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour daytime shifts (no weekends, no holidays)

Reporting Relationship: Nurse Manager

Location: On-Site at Victory Clinic in Manhattan, KS

Primary Responsibilities:

· Monitors patients during the TMS procedure to ensure their safety and comfort.

· Explains procedures to clients and performs necessary tests and analysis.

· Operates, calibrates, cleans, repairs, sterilizes, and maintains TMS equipment, as needed.

· Follows safety protocols.

· Prepares reports, charts, records, and notes.

· Completes a variety of administrative tasks, which include scheduling patients, charting using medical software, collecting patient payments for treatment, answering patient communication (by phone, text, and email), and abiding by HIPAA laws in managing medical records.

· Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Experience in healthcare or mental health or service/hospitality/spa industry is a plus.

· Ideal candidate will have completed a degree or have a certification in one of the following: medical assistant (MA or CMMA), CNA, LPN, EMT/paramedic, rehabilitation/PT/OT aide/assistant, radiology tech, endoscopy tech, chiropractic assistant, dental/orthodontist tech/hygienist, licensed massage therapist, aesthetician, pharmacy tech, or similar.

· Although one (1) year, or more, of TMS tech experience is preferred, training is specific to Victory Clinic’s TMS system and protocols.

· Necessary skill set includes teamwork, strong communication skills, ability to multitask, organizational ability, comfort with hands on patient care, and physical fitness sufficient to operate TMS system.

· Values important for success include emphasis on patient-centered care, confidentiality, compassion, positive and nonjudgmental attitude, calm demeanor, work ethic, professionalism, and comfort level with caring for patients who have mental health disorders and have experienced trauma.

· BLS, seizure first aid training, and TMS system training, provided by Victory Clinic, must be satisfactorily completed within three (3) months of starting date.

· High school diploma or equivalent.

Note: the TMS system is a heavy magnet (similar to an MRI) and people with certain conditions (such as pacemaker or pregnancy) would not be advised to work around the system. Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
