They will also meet the following qualifications and possess these preferred skills:
- Master’s Degree in Education
- Five (5) years teaching experience with a proven track record of raising student achievement scores
- Proven success in turning best practices into outstanding academic results
- Competency in using technology in the classroom setting
- Ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
- Strong desire to work within an innovative, urban educational program
- Ability to lead and manage adults to achieve desired outcomes
- Ability to analyze teacher practice, provide compelling feedback, and translate that into action
- Strong understanding of restorative practices
- Strong understanding of Special Education and Multi-Language Learner supports
- Ability to analyze data to target staff and student interventions and inform decision making
- Data management tools, organizational tools, and computer skills (Google Suite: Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Forms, Etc.)
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively; maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships.
- Use feedback from the Principal and Chief Readiness Officer to update the Individual Professional Development Plan.
- 12-month employee
- Works as a member of the School Leadership Team
- Reports to the Principal (Full-Time Admin)
- Manages, observes, and provides feedback for the Culture Team (Student Response Team)
- Manages, observes, and provides feedback for the Student Support Team (SPED, MLL, School Counselor)
- Manages, observes, and provides feedback for teachers struggling with classroom culture.
- Evaluate and approve all discipline and re-entry plans for students
- Create, manage, and maintain school wide systems: transitions, lunch duty, etc.
- Create systems that improve school wide data in the following categories:
- Attendance
- Referrals
- Suspensions
- Student retention
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
