Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer / Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. You will be a key player in translating design specifications into machine instructions. Your expertise and hands-on experience in setting up and operating CNC machines will contribute to the production of high-quality components for Victory Energy Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- CNC Programming:
- Ability to perform conversational programming on machines as well as offline programming using CAM software.
- Performing programming for lathes and 5 axis mills.
- Generate efficient toolpaths, considering tool selection, speeds, and feeds to achieve optimal machining results.
- Setup and Operation:
- Set up CNC machines, including loading tooling, fixtures, and raw materials.
- Operate CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications.
- Tool Selection and Optimization:
- Select appropriate cutting tools based on job requirements and material specifications.
- Continuously optimize tool usage and machining processes for increased efficiency.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure components meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any deviations and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience in setting up and operating CNC machines.
- Strong understanding of machining principles and tooling applications.
Skills and Requirements:
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of different metals and alloys commonly used in machining.
- Familiarity with CNC machine controls and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work safely and follow all safety rules and procedures.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment for this position does include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, moving mechanical parts, and working on confined space and elevated workspaces.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to stand 8 or more hours per day and operate a variety of hand tools both powered and manual.
· Position requires standing or walking for most of the workday and frequently involves stooping and kneeling.
· You must possess sufficient visual acuity and depth perception to complete job tasks.
· Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with confined space entry and industrial boiler manufacturing and apply appropriate safety equipment when required.
· Must be able to lift/maneuver 75lbs. unassisted using proper safety techniques and/or equipment.
