What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Manager position at Victory Energy Operations, LLC?
JOB PURPOSE:
Manage Victory Energy Inventory for both Collinsville and Cushing, OK locations. Ensure that all inventory items are properly identified, monitored and readily accessible.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage and monitor inventories by utilizing computer systems and related software.
· Warehouse organization with visible labels depicting location of various part groupings.
· Develop and implement a bar coding inventory control system.
· Weekly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
· Develop Warehouse procedures to efficiently deliver parts to production.
· Drop plate nesting program.
· Stock plate cycle counting to ensure plate count is accurate for both locations: Collinsville and Cushing.
· Communicates with the Purchasing Department as needed regarding new items, changes of location, and counts, etc.
· Develop performance metrics that are posted and updated weekly, and ensure milestones and goals are met.
· Staffing to accommodate accurate inventory receiving and shipping protocol.
· Train and develop warehouse staff in department systems and procedures.
· Complete special projects as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least five years of experience or combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal fabrication environment.
- Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures.
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) a plus.
- Good MS Office and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills required.
- Working knowledge of procurement practices and procedures.
- LEAN Six Sigma or related training a plus.
