Have an understanding of possible secondary mental health disorders
- Assist individuals in crisis management and intervention
- Facilitate group sessions and workshops on topics related to addiction
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to promote behavior change and recovery
- Serve as a mentor and advocate for individuals seeking substance abuse treatment
- Collaborate with other professionals in the field to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress
-observe and document urine drug screening
-Assist clients in learning how to navigate a 12 step fellowship and meeting attendance
Experience:
- State Certified Peer Support Specialist
- Experience in mental health counseling, crisis management, addiction counseling, or related fields
- Knowledge of behavioral health systems and resources
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Ability to take inititiative and utilize proper decision making
