Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Phlebotomy Instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instructions in various subjects, particularly focusing on medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and laboratory procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of learning technologies and the ability to engage students effectively in both classroom and laboratory settings.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging course content that aligns with curriculum standards.
- Utilize learning technology platforms, such as Canvas, to enhance the learning experience.
- Conduct lectures, facilitate discussions, and guide laboratory sessions to foster student understanding.
- Review and assess student procedures and assignments to provide constructive feedback.
- Stay updated on clinical research and advancements in laboratory technologies to incorporate relevant information into the curriculum.
- Collaborate with faculty members to ensure a cohesive educational approach across courses.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
Experience
- A background in health sciences, phlebotomy or related fields is preferred, with knowledge of anatomy and physiology and current clinical lab practices.
- Experience using learning management systems such as Canvas is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with clinical research methodologies and documentation review processes is beneficial.
- Previous teaching or clinical experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse groups of students effectively.
