Victory Recovery Partners is a mission-driven Outpatient Recovery Center. We are unique in that we provide a one stop location for multiple services such as Medication Assisted Treatment, Wellness, Behavioral Health, and Psychiatry under one roof. It is our mission to provide care with dignity and respect in comfortable and welcoming settings. Since our initial opening in Farmingville, we have expanded our services to include four additional locations - in Hempstead, Hicksville, Massapequa Park and Shirley. We intend to open other locations throughout Long Island and beyond so that we can increase access to high quality substance use care. Victory is currently looking for a full-time receptionist position at our Massapequa Park location. The Medical Receptionist performs a wide variety of duties and responsibilities in a manner that places emphasis on quality of care and customer service, collaborating with medical staff to ensure a patient centered approach to care.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs clerical duties that drive efficient patient flow.
- Prepares patients for provider visits.
- Answer phone calls.
- Schedule appointments.
- Conducts a review of scheduled patient’s charts to assist with pre-visit planning.
- Assists staff with completion of paperwork on behalf of patients including, but not limited to, prior authorizations for treatments and prescriptions, patient benefits, entitlements, disability and any other agency inquiries as assigned.
- Thoroughly records information with the EMR to meet clinical requirements.
Experience, Education and Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally, and must demonstrate the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent customer service skills required. Sensitivity to Drug/Alcohol Addiction, Mental Health Issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year experience working in a healthcare practice, preferably in an addiction treatment center preferred.
- Insurance/Billing Knowledge a plus.
- Excellent computer skills and strong familiarity working with EMR systems, preferably Medent Software.
- High attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
Salary commensurate with experience.
