Overview
A Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) works under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support the delivery of speech and language services. The SLPA assists in implementing treatment plans, documenting client progress, and providing direct therapy services to individuals with communication disorders. We are seeking two licensed therapists with flexible availability to join our team in providing therapy services for children.
Duties
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to clients as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Follow and implement documented treatment plans or protocols.
- Assist with speech-language and hearing screenings (without interpretation).
- Document client performance and progress toward therapy goals.
- Prepare therapy materials and assist with clerical duties as needed.
- Support data collection for assessment and intervention purposes.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines and policies.
- Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, and team members.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities when appropriate.
Experience Required
- Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program or bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders (or related field) with required clinical experience.
- Valid state license or registration as an SLPA
- Knowledge of speech-language pathology principles and practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently under supervision.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
